
I remember very clearly the stern warning on the cantilever-style tip-off scope mount that I later purchased for the rifle. The barrel is made of brass and will detach with not-too-much leverage. The aforementioned admonitions are wise, indeed. I must have shot 5000 birds with that little rifle it was my first "gun" experience. Your rifle is virtually identical to the one I had in high school in the 70s, right down to the grain pattern in the stock and the wearing of the finish on the metal. That Sheridan Blue Streak brings back so many memories! Even seeing the old manual evoked some very fond recollections from my past.
